  • Cesar Chavez
  • North City
  • Miramar College
  • ECC
  • West City

SDCCD’s WorkAbility III program was established in 1989 and is currently comprised of 4 dedicated and professionally-trained staff members who provide vocational counseling services to students with disabilities. These services have been designed to meet the specific needs of students with disabilities as they relate to Career Development, Job Placement, Workplace Accommodations and Job Retention. Our program prides itself on developing mutually beneficial relationships with local employers while providing individualized job development and placement services for students based upon their vocational goals. These services are provided in conjunction with Department of Rehabilitation counselors to maximize the vocational opportunities for clients/students.

SDCCD’s WorkAbility III program serves employers by providing the m with qualified applicants that meet the specific requirements and qualifications posted within their job announcements. Our program also assists employers by developing paid and unpaid internship opportunities. These positions allow for employers to address their temporary needs while providing students with valuable work experience prior to their graduation or completion of their training certificate. In most cases, these temporary positions develop into formal job offers at the end of the internship.
